How to create a Subdomain in cPanel?
A subdomain is anything that replaces the www in an original domain name www.firstdomain.com to subdomain.firstdomain.com. A subdomain is great for creating awareness to specific content areas of your website. Depending on your Hosting account you can add as many subdomains as you want. Also, you can create multiple subdomains, i.e. third.second.firstdomain.com
Note: First, mail, www, ftp, cpanel, whm, webmail, webdisk are all reserved subdomain names that cannot be used. Second, make sure that your subdomain name does have that same name as any existing folder. If it does the subdomain will not work.
Step 1: Log into cPanel.
Step 2: In the Domains section, click on the Subdomains icon.
Step 3 In the drop-down, choose the domain for which you wish to create this subdomain. You may create a subdomain for any addon domain or parked domain that already exists in your cPanel.
Step 4 In the box before the domain, type the subdomain name you want and Click inside the "Document Root" box and it will auto-fill.
Step 5 Click on the "Create" button.
